Our son had brain surgery at Duke University Hospital, and his doctor recommended Staybridge. We were very pleased with this hotel. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and a good variety of foods for breakfast, which was very good. They have a room for exercise, and the pool is well kept. I can’t express enough how wonderful this place was for us during our four night stay.
Love the space and size of the room. Love the outdoor WARM pool. Breakfast is great . Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cons : Place looks dated, Maintenance is lacking in more than one area of the hotel. Layout of hotel is a bit weird , elevator was a far walk from main entrance and not centrally located
We had a nice stay; but I was taken back by how old and outdated this location is? I have stayed at several Staybridge hotels throughout the States and expected the same when staying at this one. The room was outdated, dingy and we found food on the floor of our bedroom? The tub had some stains. My biggest concern was the vents were extremely dirty? Which meant we were breathing that in? I still had a quiet room, and slept decent since the bed was comfortable. There really needs to be updated rooms and clean vents… also the elevator did smell of marijuana throughout our stay. The staff was pleasant and professional.
Great place to stay when away from home. Friendly staff shops and restaurants close by some even walking distance, full fridge and stove.
Great hotel. Price point is good, fitness room is excellent 3x treadmills, 2x weight benches, 2x ellipticals, 1x bike, 1x cable machine. Misc balls, mats ect. Clean rooms, full sized fridge, stove top, silverware and kitchen items are well stocked. Hotel is clean and quiet
The breakfast is the best! Extended stay hotel close to Patterson Place, Durham, Chapel Hill, Duke University and Medical Center, and Research Triangle Park. Convenient location just off I-40. Several restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. Property has fitness center, and outdoor pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Design is a bit cramped compared to other extended stays I have stayed at. The best feature is the daily breakfast. Two styles of hot eggs, two different breakfast meats, waffle maker, oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruit and more. Plus a large topping bar for your oatmeal or yogurt.
Quiet rooms. I could only hear the person beside us - when I walked past their room, thru the hall. Inside our room could not hear anyone! Only heard an occasional car or truck driving by - that had a loud muffler. Room had a nice layout with kitchenette, small sofa, comfy queen bed and sink w. Vanity outside the bath room (where toilet and shower were). The evening crew had the music quite loud in the lobby and dining area. There was a strong air freshener smell in the same area. Too strong.
Best beds ever. Room and elevator need upgrading, but I'll forgive almost anything for these soft beds. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I've stayed at many hotels in the Raleigh-Durham area and this is the only location to have pleasant front desk staff.
